SALCBC Partners with SACH BC for the Second Annual HerSACH Women’s Support and Wellness Clinic
The South Asian Legal Clinic of BC (SALCBC) partnered with SACH BC for their Second Annual HerSACH Women’s Support and Wellness Clinic, held on Friday, March 20, 2026, in Surrey, British Columbia.
The event brought together a diverse network of community organizations with a shared goal of providing accessible, culturally responsive, and low-barrier support to women. The clinic created a welcoming space where attendees could access a range of essential services, including health and wellness support, legal information, financial guidance, and social service navigation, all under one roof.
Representing SALCBC at the event were Avneet Kaur Sidhu, Community Law Advocate, and Kuljit K. Sandhu, Board Member and Interim Managing Lawyer. Throughout the day, they engaged directly with community members, offering legal information and guidance on a variety of issues impacting South Asian women. Their presence helped ensure that attendees could better understand their rights and access appropriate legal resources in a supportive and culturally sensitive environment.
The HerSACH Women’s Clinic reflects the importance of collaboration in addressing the complex and interconnected challenges faced by women in our communities. By bringing together trusted service providers, the clinic helped reduce barriers to access and fostered meaningful connections between individuals and the support systems available to them.
SALCBC is grateful to SACH BC for organizing this impactful initiative and for the opportunity to collaborate on an event that prioritizes empowerment, inclusion, and community care. We look forward to continuing our work with partners across the sector to strengthen access to justice and essential services for underserved communities.
